Data Sanitisation Methods

How We Destroy Data

  • Secure Erasure — standards-aligned sanitisation for supported media with verification and reporting.
  • Degaussing — magnetic media neutralisation for supported storage devices.
  • Physical Shredding — physical destruction for media requiring irreversible disposal assurance.

Five Steps to a Secure, Audit-Ready Handover

01
Disposition or Recycle
Approved assets are routed for controlled reuse or redeployment; the rest proceed to compliant recycling.
02
On-Site Execution
De-install, data sanitise, crate and pack all assets.
03
Secure Transport
Sealed vehicles, checkpoint scans and intake reconciliation.
04
Remarket or Recycle
Value recovery for viable assets; compliant recycling for the rest.
05
Certificates & Close-Out
Destruction certificates, reconciliation report and final sign-off.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About Decommissioning

Can data be recovered after your process?

We apply recognised sanitisation and destruction methods based on the media type and your security requirements, including secure erasure, degaussing and physical shredding where appropriate. Supporting documentation is provided upon completion.

Do you provide full audit trails?

Yes. We provide serial-level tracking, chain-of-custody checkpoints and final reconciliation documentation to support internal governance, audit needs and project close-out requirements.

Can you help recover value from retired equipment?

Where suitable and approved, viable assets may be assessed for controlled reuse or value recovery. Assets not fit for reuse are directed to responsible downstream recycling channels.

Do you handle on-site data destruction?

Yes. On-site degaussing and physical destruction can be arranged when your internal security policy requires sanitisation before assets leave your premises.

How long does a typical decommissioning project take?

Project timelines depend on the environment, volume of equipment, access conditions and reporting requirements. We define the scope and schedule during the planning phase to minimise disruption and support your operational deadlines.
